Yatra: The Documentary

Feature Film Project, 2018 - Present

Saving tens of thousands, a dedicated team of retired Indian-American medical doctors, from Cleveland, Ohio, each year organize a Yatra - Hindu word for “pilgrimage” - to return home to provide free medical care for hundreds of people in remote tribal communities! For twenty years they have performed hundreds of life-altering surgeries, even providing prosthetics to the disabled.

In 2018, with a small dedicated crew of filmmakers, we traveled to remote villages in Southeast India to capture the doctors in action during their 18th annual medical aid mission. Since COVID, the director Matt Alesevich has returned multiple times to support in the new direction of the Yatra Medical Aid Missions. We are currently in post-production on this feature film with hopes of completion in 2024.
